DIYbitcoin is someone who has been on the ground through the history of Bitcoin wallets. He began his career as the first employee at Samourai Wallet, the emblem of privacy wallets, and later worked at Wasabi Wallet as well — a rare track record of having been inside both pillars of Bitcoin privacy wallets. Since 2020, through DIYbitcoin, the education brand that became his name, he has been shining a light on the DIY hardware projects of Bitcoin developers who work without a marketing budget — because it seemed a waste for good open-source projects to be buried in obscurity. As an early user of Krux, the open-source hardware signing device, he took on testing and marketing and grew alongside the project, and his DIYbitcoin Telegram community even became the point of contact through which one of Krux's core developers joined the project. That you can contribute to the open-source ecosystem without writing code, and that anyone can build their own self-custody device — these are the two things he has proven over years spent in the wallet industry.
