Shaun

Shaun is the founder of Bitcoin House Malaysia, an HRF-supported Bitcoin education hub in Kuala Lumpur, and a partner at YakiHonne, a decentralized social media platform built on Nostr, with integrated Bitcoin wallet features and grant backing from HRF and OpenSats. His work focuses on Bitcoin education, merchant onboarding, developer communities, and practical Bitcoin adoption across Southeast Asia. Having worked across Greater China and Southeast Asia, he believes the Global South needs sovereign tools, not just better fintech. Over the years, he has helped connect more than 50 native Bitcoin communities on the ground and more than 500 online Bitcoin communities globally. Based in Kuala Lumpur and deeply rooted in its Bitcoin community, Shaun works to connect Asian Bitcoin communities with the wider freedom tech movement.
